Location, Location, Location! 'Blue Heaven' is a brand new two bedroom, two bath, two story cottage situated by-the-sea on a dune that overlooks the most beautiful pinky sandy beach in the world! Featuring a private pool and large sun-deck for worshipping the outdoors and convenience for entertaining in daylight, starlight or moonshine! The coral reef just offshore awaits snorkelers and swimmers. Surf the waves on bolder days. Frolic in the sand or build a sandcastle with your little ones.

Walking to the numerous nearby waterfront eateries and pubs is fun and gives the chef a break. Conveniently located on Gillem Street — "the Upper Road" — just a few steps from the Hope Town Harbour Lodge and Reef Bar and Grill where you'll find 'Gary' behind the bar most days for lunch and libations. In the evening Ray's Place Martini and Cigar Bar is the hub of activity and fine dining in town, with dishes prepared by 'Chef Pherrol' by reservation only. Rent a golf cart or boat to run down island to 'Sea Spray's Boat House Restaurant' and 'Abaco Inn' for a great ride and meal!

The moment you step in to the doors of 'Blue Heaven' you will realize why the owners, John and Patti, gave this island villa it's name. Every hue of blue is seen from the water to the sky. With a constant ocean breeze in your face ~ you and yours will feel as if you're in heaven!

The artisan's craftsmanship from local contractor Mark Malone, and his father, Peter Malone, is clearly evident through out. The interior is white-washed tongue and groove cypress, custom cabinets stained mahogany, exotic plantation teak wood custom trim, custom granite counters, tumbled travertine floors and a beautifully designed mahogany spiral staircase (wide, freestanding, no center pole, handcrafted in Maine) leading up to the Master Suite. Exceptionally, architecturally designed by the owners, to capture the views and light, bright airy feeling of the islands with lots of windows and ceiling fans, and a great artsy feel to the finishes and furnishings.

This gracious home is reminiscent of a Key West or Southern-style plantation home with large covered balconies complete with rockers and chaise lounges ~ laze away your days reading or napping ~ you'll have plenty of time to do whatever you want on holiday.

'Blue Heaven' features the many modern comforts — two zone central air conditioning, Sirius Satellite stereo, cable TV with wireless internet, DVD/VCR player and a library of CD's, movies, games and books to borrow from the library. There is also a phone and VHF radio for local calls.

Whether you want to step back in time or just enjoy the comfort of all the modern conveniences this home is for you. The kitchen is a dream for the gourmet chef with stainless steel GE profile appliances including dishwasher, blender, microwave, gas grill and more and showcasing a huge granite island work area. The 'island' in the midst of the open living area is for family and friends to gather for entertaining and dining. Guests may also enjoy alfresco dining area on the covered deck at poolside where there is wicker furniture of tables, chairs and chaise lounges.

The Master Suite of 'Blue Heaven' is truly one of the best features, literally offering the "masters" the entire top floor. The full bath features a roomy custom travertine marble shower, with "mini" kitchen/wet bar for early mornings or late evenings, a quiet sitting area, hand-carved King size bed. The day-bed in the sitting area could be a place for a small child to sleep in-suite. (Though owner suggests taking the mattress down to lower level for ultimate privacy.) The two covered balconies each give a unique view ~ one of Hope Town Harbour where you can enjoy the sunset skies at dusk and wait for the light to come on in the lighthouse. The other view ~ a breathtaking vista on a clear day ~ looks out over the private pool and pink sand beach and azure blue ocean and clear skies that goes on forever!

The bedroom on the lower level features a custom-built Queen size bed and dedicated full bath with travertine marble shower. There are two AeroBed inflatable twin mattresses, the daybed mattress and an infant's playpen for accommodating children. The extra bedding is available for convenience — owners ask that no more than 4 adults plus 2 children occupy the villa.
